The power of truth. At the very basic level it is the power of God. Not just any god but the god creator who is always holding up reality. What he thinks and says is the truth, the correct way of being, and all of creation naturally conforms to this new truth.
The change in truth is effective immediately, unless it is stated that it always was this way.
For some strange and unfathomable reason, this god decided to give part of this power to a mortal human. Maybe it was for entertainment, maybe as a reward, or maybe as an accident; the result is the same. Some mortal now has the power of truth.
